Today I came across a great post in my feed by Matt Medeiros on the subject of blogging regularly and focusing more on the quality and less on the quantity.
Like many, I have a content addition. I’m forever checking email, Twitter, my RSS feeds, podcasts, Youtube subscriptions and even old school paper magazine subscriptions. In fact, I’m often so engrossed and overwhelmed by it all that I forget to share my thoughts and what I’ve learnt.
Recently, I’ve been trying to get back into Twitter as a way to share those little gems that I discover, but some things are difficult to fit into 140 characters and until now the idea of crafting a word perfect 1000 word blog post each time has been out of the question.
Matt’s point is that whether you blog 200 or 2000 words is irrelevant. What is important is that your message has impact, is actionable or just makes you think.
Of course Matt says it better than I, so I urge you to go check his post at http://mattreport.com/blog-small/
Thanks Matt for the reminder and I hope this gives someone else out there that little nudge to hit the ‘Publish’ button.
